Two whole days of sights, sounds and smells. There's nothing like watching a Lotus 22 cross the crown of the road in a full four-wheel power drift, getting inches away from the 6" granite curb, lap after lap. I got to see an MG Midget go first left opposite lock, then right, before finally looping it and backing into the afroremetioned curbs. It was the end of his day. Then I saw an Alpha blow a gasket and dump oil in a heavy braking zone, and the TR4 that was following closely had no time, and went TU into the haybales.
I'm a big race fan, and watch whatever I can on TV (except Nascar) but there's nothing quite like watching little British cars with tiny engines and skinny tires, going at it in real anger on streets with crowns and curbs and stone walls. No run-off here. You make a mistake, and your precious baby gets bent up good.
Some of the best racing I've seen! You should have seen the under 1 liter class. A Fiat Abath won, but just barely over a bugeye Sprite. I still haven't come down!
There were many cars with GoPros mounted on the roll bars, so I expect there will be some pretty cool stuff on youtube in the next few days.
I think we're all Bozos on this bus.
