I have a friend who says it is a balance also and he and his wife do the junk food and like the Worlds Fair, are getting bigger and better every year, and that stance is such BS.
A balance is when you get to the point that you have a healthy weight, it means you consume enough calories to maintain the ones you burn.
Are you at that point yet Jesse? Are you at a healthy weight? Have you always been? How did it affect your health?
I know that I am getting old, and the post about digging my heels in acknowledges that fatal fact.
But if you want to loose weight and keep it off, you balance absolutely nothing my friend. You have to consume far less than what your body burns. That way your body burns stored fat, and thus you loose weight.
Exercise causes your body to burn more calories and thus, you burn more fat and fat is the weight you have stored from not exercising and quite frankly eating the calorie load of two people.
Think about it. When you go to Walmart and see all those human equivalant walruses waddling around,which now is 50 % of everyone in America, they have been eating the calorie equilvent of two people their size and energy level.
Twice as much food has been grown for them, twice as much fuel to grow their food, twice as much polution and twice as much energy to produce the excess they stuff in their mouths and eentually so much more than twice as much mediacl care to take care of them because of their lack of discipline.
Becuase they were too damn lazy to burn off what they stuffed in their mouths.
And they also increased their rate of heart disease, cancer and dibetes far more than twice the amount of food they consumed.
Sorry Jesse, I don't wish to belittle you, but you are so wrong on this.
