CREATION OF THE JOHN CODY CLARK EDUCATION TRUST
Portland, OR The law firm of ODonnell Clark & Crew LLP is pleased to announce the creation
of the John Cody Clark Education Trust. Simply put, John Clark of Vancouver, WA is a hero. A
month ago, John a 17 yearold high school student, Eagle Scout and lifeguard selflessly
undertook a dangerous ocean rescue of a drowning 12 yearold boy, Robert. While spending
some free time with friends on the beaches north of Tillamook, Oregon, John heard Roberts
cries for help and, without regard to his own safety, swam through nearly 100 yards of rough
Pacific waters to reach Robert. John was then able to keep Robert above water for 15 minutes,
as they were both drifting further out to sea, until rescuers were able to reach them both.
For his heroism, John was awarded with nearly $2,600 in hospital and ambulance bills.
John is the youngest of nine children, and has plans to attend college after graduating high
school. We invite you to join us in helping this great young American reach his goals.
Donations to the Trust can be made out to the John Cody Clark Education Trust, and sent to:

Johns selflessness and heroism.
