| good start and the best field i have ever seen. usain bolt dominated from the start with the astounding length of his strides. fellow jamaican yohan blake about bust a gut to pick up second. american justin gatlin was in the best form of his career and intensely focused taking bronze.
bolt was again an inspiration on how to handle oneself. he has a mental preparation ritual of making fun to both cool down and attain focus. you have to watch him closely to get an idea of the rhythm and nature of the thing. yohan blake would ordinarily be about as tight as a drum but you can see he has taken cues from bolt and has his own fun. gatlin by contrast was all nerves, tight and on edge, and had things working for him and used it to get down the track.
the whole field was in pretty goon sync and made a good start with everyone doing all they could, no dramas.
small caliber joy
