I wanted find out if my small AC (5,250 BTU using 540 watts) could provide some heat to a small laundry room. (525 cu ft).

2 feet above the basement floor the air was about 61 degrees.

About 5 feet above the floor the air was about 66.

Air input side from the main basement.

Hot air output inside the laundry room.

After about 20 minutes it went up to 70-72 inside the laundry room: (that 63.9 reading is off, it's really closer to 61).

I went inside and it was WARM in there! Up high, it was hot.

It also took some humidity out of the main basement air.

I think this proves that 540 Watts can space heat my bathroom, which it right above the laundry room..

With a larger BTU AC, I'm sure that a 5 degree gain would occur within a few minutes.
