On these forums we go through many phases and changes. I pity the man who is not moved or affected by the postings of the myriad of personalities here. I get labeled a lost soul for having changed my views over the last ten years and I don't agree...but that's fine. I've been in heated discussions with men like Rick Douglas and, in retrospect, those arguements were very unproductive to me, to him, and everyone that had to suffer through them.
My real feelings are that people like Ric, (and there are many others here like him) have contributed to my welfare and peace of mind, my freedom and security to such a degree that I really don't feel comfortable in pursuing a debate which may result in saying things hurtfull to him.
It was nice to see Ric featured. If it were possible to display a pic all of our current military and past members of the armed services each week I'd be proud to see them. They are worth so much more than they will ever know...

Hey, for the record I'm as big a horn-dog as anybody here but I honestly believe we can do without the soft porn. It really does make it hard to sign on here in questionable surroundings.

wednesday morning i arrived at the trail head and there was jim m. jim is a vet. and lost both his legs in viet nam. he rides a three wheeler that he pedals with his hands. there was a film crew with him shooting a documentary about him for the veterans administration. they inlisted me to ride along with him while they filmed us. i spent three hours and went four miles while they filmed us at a few places along the trail. they said it would be ready in january on the va web site, so keep an eye pealed about that time. john
