Broiled sirloin tonight(my wife ate fish)...

My wife wanted the catfish I caught today for dinner. As I don't like fish and she won't eat meat unless it's ruined and cooked well done, she had deep fried battered catfish fillets and I had a nice medium rare steak. Fried potatoes and steamed corn was the side for both our dinners. The way I broil steak is to line a cake pan with tin foil and set a wire rack on top of it(no clean-up on the pan). I rub chopped garlic into both sides of the meat then sprinkle a little Montreal steak seasoning on it. Place it on the wire rack then into the oven about 5" from top heating element. I leave the door of the oven open so the heat never shuts off and cook for 6 minutes on each side of a 3/4" thick steak. This is what it looks like.

That's how most people cook their steaks.

HEY HILMAN:

Why all the commas after your header?

It's customary to use periods, like this..... Anyway, I'm a big BeefEater too!

My favorite steak is a Porterhouse, broiled medium-rare. I also enjoy a T-bone, a New York, or a Rib Eye.

Any questions?

I'm also a FISH MAN!

Last night (Friday), at an all-you-can-eat Buffet-style restaurant, I loaded up on NOTHING BUT FISH!

My first plate was full of Icelandic Whitefish (Cod), which I doused with lemon juice.

My second plate was MORE Icelandic Cod, plus a large slab of Salmon, and a half-dozen Butterfly Shrimp, which I dipped in Shrimp Sauce.

My third plate was lots more Butterfly Shrimp, with some Popcorn Shrimp, and a couple of Seafood Patties.

I had my green salad afterward, with Bleu Cheese dressing, because I CAN'T STAND Ranch dressing!

Then, for my dessert plate I had Cherry Cobbler, with Coffee on the side.

Did you Steak Weenies know that Fish is also a Real Man's choice?

Look at James Bond in "Goldfinger"...There's a scene where he orders dinner.

What does he order?

Dover Sole, Man!

Pretty darn good chicken actually! Tender, juicy and tasty. RB
