Did you cut those targets?

.41 has been a hard cartridge for me to justify in the collection. Like the .20 cal of air guns: attempt to balance trajectory with power. .44mag is so versatile that I can load my own rounds to come close to the .41 performance. My standard bullet for the .44 is 200 grains (the .41 is 210grains) over 5.5 of HP38. Gives me a very stable 850fps that is deadly accurate from 4 and 6 inch barrels. I can easily pump that up to match or surpass .41 specs. I can also load my .357 up to about the same. I can only do that because supplies for .357 and .44 are so readily available.

With some H110 rifle powder you can crank that .41 up to .44 mag range. It's not pleasant but it wakes you up.

Still...its a pretty pistol.
