product came in from tobaccogeneral.com and a small review. we are now stocked up for a little while with sampling this and that.
got 1# of their ohm natural, $13., good smoke. also 1# of kentucky select pipe tobacco, $13.50, good smoke. both are a little hotter than the kentucky select organic she had been smoking, but smoke well. also ordered a 6 oz. pack of golden harvest which was harsh and not acceptable.
kentucky select organic continues to be out of stock everywhere. i am resolved to go back to rollyourown.com for the next order. either kentucky select organic will be back in stock, or we will try peter stokkebye virginia, $105/5#, and also try d & r windsail platinum which is almost thirty per pound. they are both well spoken of on the smoking forum for being good virginia tobacco chemical free product. even at twenty and better a pound you are getting some good value with umpteen cartons which you tend to smoke less of than store bought. papers and all it's somewhere over a hundred to smoke for the year.
Come this September I will be tobacco free for three years. But I'm still smokin'. First of all, make no mistake. I am still addicted to nicotine. Smokers need to understand and come to grips with the addiction factor. It is real and physical.
But for me, the bottom line is I like the way nicotine makes me feel, and I like the act of inhaling and exhaling something I can taste and see.
I look at it this way: ecigs allow me to feed my nicotine addiction with all the pluses of cigarettes without any of the minuses. No carbon monoxide, no harmful particulates, no combustion products in my lungs.
Let's be honest here. Nobody LIKES the taste of tobacco. If they did, there would be tobacco flavored icecream, or soda. We smoke tobacco becauce we are addicted to nicotine, proven to be more addictive than heroine, and harder to kick.
So if you are like me, addicted to nicotine, then choose a less harmful way to live with the addiction.
I've been happily using eCigs for close to three years, as I've said. My wife and 20yo daughter both smoke regular cigarettes, so they are always around, but I am never even tempted.
Please feel free to email me if you want more info. I have regained my sense of smell and taste, and I feel a whole lot better overall. But like I said, I'm still smokin'.
was the stuff i ordered came from tobacco general and ryo has different tobacco. i would recommend the kentucky select organic, it's virginia with some natural flavorings iirc agave prune vanilla. i have smoked a few of her cigarettes as have my friends and everyone says it's a good smoke.
ryo.com has an eight buck shipping charge which isn't bad. what i would recommend is the kentucky select organic which of course i already have experience with. i would also have no reservations with d/r windsail platinum, 24.50 for 14 oz, and peter stokkebye virginia, $105. for 5#. the guys on the forum say they are pure and mild virginia.
something like $120. and you get free shipping from tobacco general, but to me it's silly to save the money and the stuff looks better from ryo. also ryo has the bugler papers she uses.
plenty of people drop thousands per year on the habit. easy come easy go or something like that. getting the bill under a couple hundred is a good enough fight right there.
