The first part of the article is irrelevant to the point.
It is stupid to ask from others (British) to care about your freedom and rights. As you claim, you fought bravely for your freedom and independace. So it was natural for you to participate in Bucharest treaty negociations. Despite what the treaty was for, if you had fought for your independance you should be there. But you weren't !! Apparently because you hadn't fought for your independance but for Bulgarian expantion. Bulgaria was there defeated and lost your land for ever.
Bulgarian succesive errors let you out of Bulgarian state and this was the main reason of the modern "Macedonian issue" raising.
The winners acted as they acted because they knew that Macedonian was a geographical term and Macedonians were Greeks or Bulgarians or Serbians or ...
