I also knew Harry.
When I was a little kid, I played with Harry and my younger brother played
with Harry's younger brother, Eric.
Me and my dad used to listen to Harry's father barking and yelling at Harry
and his siblings. We lived across the street form them.
When the summer nights in Montvale were hot and quiet......you could hear
more then you wanted to.
Do I want to make a movie about this? No.
Do I remeember this? Yes.
Do I like it? No.
What you are all not getting is the fact that life has changed so much since
then.
Today, you can't even think about what your parents used to think, and get
away with it.
Today our children are so protected against "everthing" . Things and
situations that we when we were in "Montvale" in the "70"s would not have
even thought about.
Forget about todays rules and lifesyles, What you need to do is try to remember what it was like back then.
The rules just changed.
Thats what you don't get.
