With everyone so busy around the holidays, we sometimes get lost in the confusion. Don't forget the reason for the celebration!
Jerry & I are trying to slow Christmas down this year. We're just taking 1 day at a time and trying to stay in control.
I've taken a few days off from work to put up decorations and clean my house. I have just basically stayed home. Nikki said, "Mom, you are home-deprived." Gone way too much and just doing, doing, doing." I have to go back to work tomorrow. That's ok since my doggies are getting spoiled even more, if that's possible.
If you would like to make a donation to the CHS Football Program in Andy's name from our class, send your check to Cathy. Her address is Cathy Stanley,PO Box 555, Clintwood. Please send it within the next few days so she can write a check and get it to Coach Rick Mullins. The football program is the one of the charities the family listed to donate to in lieu of flowers.
If everyone will let us know if you think you might come, don't have to be positive, to give us an idea of how many may, I'll call just in case we should reserve a table and do the for about so many deal..they may not take reservations, may be 1st come 1st serve, but got to thinking maybe we should check. I am looking forward to checking out the lights there too, I've never been at Christmas. Have any of you?
We went a couple of years ago and it's beautiful. Well worth the trip. Sorry but we can't make it to the dinner. We're taking care of my mother who lives up from us and his daddy over at Pound. Have a great time.

Mine was wonderful. Had dinner at my cousin's house down here in NC. Turkey, dressing....very traditional. I made several things but the Bread Pudding was the biggest hit. I'm still working on my own recipe for it...everytime I make it I try something just a litte different to fit our taste. Using 1/2 brown sugar & 1/2 white sugar was a stroke of genius! LOL
Went to my daughters, which was a switch since cookin for 33yrs. she did it all,, it was wonderful,she did a real good job.I had a day of playing and talking with my Granddaughters,,which the 2 oldest helped with Dinner;;;
