Does anyone know if there is a relationship between the MCGARRAH and MCCARRA surnames? For years, I have been attempting research on William MCCARRA, who is my great-great grandfather and was born SC, migrated to Talbot and Upson Co., GA then on to Pike Co., AL. I have seen in other Genealogy Queries the names Thomas, William and James MCGARRAH----these are names also used frequently in the MCCARRA line. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.
