My mother is the daughter of Roy(Samuel) McGarrah who lived in Americus until 1919 when the family moved to Florida. The move was due to his health. He had been a farmer in Americus and was married to Kathryn. They had six girls and one son. The son died in infancy. The eldest daughter,Mildred, married Carl Mott of Ellaville,GA. My mother is still alive and living in Florida. If you have any info about our family's early history, please respond. I am planning a trip to Scotland and would love to find our family's home.
