My name is Jason James McGarr. I was born in Joliet, IL on 4/15/1970. My father is James William McGarr who was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1946. My grandfather Claude Parker McGarr was born in (1916?) in Arkansas. He married Mary Athelene Brown before WWII. My dad has one sister Velma (McGarr) Henderson of Lonoke, AR. I will firm this up and repost. His father was William McGarr (i have to get some more info from my grandmother. The rumor is that William was run out of Mississippi for something and moved to Arkansas.
My father James grduated from Lonoke, AR High in 1964 and joined the Marine Corp. He served one tour of duty in Vietnam 1968.
My Grandfather Claude was a carpenter, served a tour of duty in Europe and North Africa in the Army during WWII.
My Gradfather had several brothers and a sister. They live in Arkansas and North Carolina.
