Applications are invited for a Public Service Representative in a team-oriented environment with an emphasis on reaching traditionally under-served audiences. This a 12-month renewable position in the public service promotion track. The focus is on expanding efforts in inner-city neighborhoods and with Spanish-speaking and other grassroots populations via identification of partner entities, instruction, program development, curriculum adaptation, and grant writing.

A Master's degree is required in education, adult education, leadership development or a related field. Graduate of an adult community leadership program on a local or regional level preferred. The preferred candidate will have experience: 1)developing, marketing and implementing leadership programs for adults; 2) designing and evaluating programs; 3) teaching a variety of audiences; 4) developing curricula; 5) conducting applied research. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with interdisciplinary faculty, students, and the public are essential.

Salary commensurate with qualifications. Application deadline is May 15, 2002. Anticipated state date is July 1, 2002.
