Rumor Central says that MTA is sending 30 members to Philly
by is this for campaign purposes?
This is costing MTA local nearly a million dollars to send their members to campaign for Hakey and Baboonie. What a waste of money. The total for both Regional Meetings for about 60 members will be for their; Per diem, travel expenses from one coast to another atleast for Philly, Hotel costs, local or car rental, and registration, the figure of a half a million could be rather conservative. That is a lot of money for campaign purposes, then to add that to a full time salary for a 10 member staff including James Williams ($100,000), then it is going to be a million dollars. As an MTA member I know the other members do not know that their money is being used to campaign for a lost cause. We are hearing that Arnold is a shoe-in for the VP job. As an MTA member,I am damn mad that my chairman is allowing these people to fly across country to campaign, you add that to the fact James Williams does dilly-squat to earn his salary. MTA uses big-dollar attorneys to handle their union business. Williams lies to his members and his hands are dirty like David Hakey and Paul Thompson. It is time for all of these people got out of office!
