Yes, I was sort of afraid of that. Are you thinking mostly of the format, i.e., that there are too many terms in the list, or that my writing is too complex or cumbersome, or what, specifically, caused that reaction?

I am aware of the problems in my writing style, but can't seem to change it much :(

Van Damned's list, a good start, is much shorter, doesn't do definitions (e.g., as I said in my original message, he tells you that "BNM" means "Beyond Naked Mage" but nothing else - what is a newbie to make of that?), and isn't up to date (I get the impression that although the site is still up, he isn't very active on the forum anymore -- I visited the site again last week, thinking of sending him an e-mail, but several links didn't seem to work, including his name, which seemed to be a link to something, but went nowhere).

Sooooo, I thought that as complete of a list as practical, with definitions, would be the most useful. Still sort of think so, but ... hmmmmm...

Well, I would appreciate it if you could give me some specific reasons for why you think it would intimidate some, to see if I can think of solutions.

As for collaborating, let's think about it and discuss it some more in a bit. There may be some way to do that, but at the moment I'm not sure exactly how to go about it. I am also not sure how the people whose definitions I copied will/would react; I don't think they will/would mind, since I give full credit, but you never know. Actually, I think some of those definitions are weak, and I am tempted to replace them right away, but their writing styles may be more appropriate than mine for the intended audience.
