An external program whose SOLE / MAIN purpose is to give a player an unfair advantage in the game.

Do I consider backing up programs trainers? No.

Do I consider item transferers trainers? No.

Do I consider programs that give you godmode, autokill, hack your stats, etc trainers? Yes.

Do I consider scanners trainers? Iffy. In a way they are, but it's not that much of an advantage, and it doesn't give you an advantage over the player or the game. It just gives you a little more info. So... probably not, but COULD be considered one.

How do I rank cheat codes? As cheats! You don't need a trainer to use them. There is an internal program (a trainer, if you'd like to call it that) that enables their usage. I have stated what a trainer is.

Cheats, OTOH, are the results of a trainer. I.e. Godmode, autuodupe, autokill, etc. Is duping a cheat? In a way. It's CHEATING. It's not a noun, so it can't be considered a "cheat" per se. But it is cheating.

hat is cheating? The ACT of gaining an unfair advantage over a player by imbalancing the game in your favor. Examples? Those listed above. Others? Keeping an ace up your sleeve in poker. Telling your partner with signals that you have a sure-fire winning hand. Looking at another players hand in a card game. Those are just SOME examples.

That's my stance. I'm sticking with itl. Debate me if you like.
