Response to More like, constant as the Northern Star. :-)

To Roland: There's actually a third option (which I currently favour!) - put the list on your web site and just link to that page when posting on the DSF. A "disclaimer" would be (greatly) appreciated, but I don't consider it a requirement (at least as long as you don't put hacks on your own site as well). (Or (IMHO) even better: just link to Bolty's list like I did in a recent reply to Dyrax.)

(Still to Roland:) So we have at least one thing in common - trying to help newbies! Wouldn't you agree that "mods" aren't exactly what could be recommended to newbies? Having Hellfire stuff on the DSF was confusing at times (fortunately HF is basically dead now) when it was not quite clear which game was actually meant, and this also applies to mods. (Again, I do like Bolty's current approach to put mod related stuff on a separate page.)

To Bolty: You're welcome! Strangely enough, I'm in a similar situation concerning my LAW guide and Cathrin[BWO]... Unfortunately my spare time is too limited to be a regular visitor of your forum, and I just haven't had the luck to come across a thread where I would have wanted to toss in my $0.02! (Although it almost happened with the "IP" thread... )
Oh, and as for the editorial: how much do you pay???

What's left? Ah, "Blizzard's stance"! Let's face it: IMHO Diablo is a dead game for about two years now as far as Blizzard is concerned. They prolly only care about it as to learn from it to avoid similar mistakes for D2. Sure, they don't enforce anything as far as mods are involved. But they also don't enforce anything as far as "bad" cheats like autokill, duping etc. are involved. But that they don't enforce it does not imply that they endorse it either...

Again to Bolty: Blizzard reads the DSF - and you can't say any more??? Hey, inquiring minds need to know - so please tell us all about it!!! (If you don't want to post it on a public board I'd be glad if would email me: "the_legit AT yahoo DOT com" - encoded to fight UCE SPAM, hehe!) Or did they make you sign a NDA???
