This weekend kicks off the first anniversary of the Greensburg tornado. It's called the "Tragedy to Triumph celebration". The weekend events will be aired live on CBS national television. President Bush is going to be back in town to give the commencement address at the 16 seniors graduation. REO Speedwagon is giving a concert to break the ground of the Business Incubator. Recently the actor Leonardo DiCaprio committed 400,000 towards the building of the Business Incubator. Later this spring a 500 seat theater is to be built by "Warren Theater" and another Wichita businessman that Hollywood's MPG studios has sponsored.
"A special prime time program featuring Greensburg will air on the Discovery Channel May 4. in addition, the series "Greensburg" will premiere on the Planet Green Channel Sunday, June 15, 8 PM. and will continue to appear there at the same time for the following 12 weeks. Planet Green will replace the Discovery Home."
The other events of this weekend are to numerous to mention. The economy is good. It's a boom town on the prairie, the "Green" rush is on. Meteorites instead of gold is found here, and oil and gas surrounds the town.
