In Monte, when the h school got started, they let the h children start public school so they could be counted in for the number of enrollment each fall for the state aid. AS soon as that date was over, they pulled their chidlren out and went to their own school. This was a one time thing and didn't happen again. Did that happen any other place?? calleodutPTL
When did the Holde Schools start? 75 to 82??
I know my Dad cried when I quit the 3rd day in Grade 12. He wanted his children to be educated. However that may be why he was exed for 6 or 8 months quite a while later. I was only home once for a meal during that time and we had 2 tables and a desk. Now I don't know if I should laugh or cry. But it is all history.
My dad was a school teacher for 15 years before he left the profession and started a entrepreneurial career and he was always interested in education. When the church schools started he commented to me that one good thing that would come out of it would be that ultimately a Bible school or a seminary would be established, so ministers could be trained.
(The message I got from his comment was that he felt it was necessary.)
