The Beard

Has anyone worked at a place where the beard was not allowed?
Needed to wear a SCBA and go into Gas situations and needed a complete face shield?
How would the Holdeman deal with such a situation?

For years I did and now they allow a small beard as long as a seal with my mask can be obtained.
I do know at least one of the truck drivers who hauls into the oil fields - (holdeman) has been challenged on that a few times with his work and he wears a very small beard so that he can wear an escape respirator if required.

Old testiment shadows reveal something, so it is best to not throw them away but see the truth that they point to.

There was a bylaw in Israel not to mar the beard. In light of that being a shadow which speaks to something more real i.e. Spiritual, what could it be?

The beard is a part of our countenance in the natural. We ought not mar our countance, the glory of Christ can be upon us men in order to flow toward our wives and families! We ought not partake of anything that subtracts from that glory of Christ upon us! The letter of truth is only one of those things.

Moses hide his face from the people because of the glory that was upon him; this glory was the glory coming from the life giving commandments. How much greater glory is in Christ Jesus, it says.

How we tend to get bogged down in those things that point toward a real thing of merit. Are we majoring in minors or are we majoring in the majors!

If I point with my index finger toward celestial bodies such as a distant galaxity are we going to stare at the pointer which is my index finger and get all fuzzy about it, or are we going to gaze upon what is being pointed toward?

The letter of a doctrine is the pointer. Do I involve myself excessively in the doctrine itself or do I involve myself in what is being pointed toward?

Doctrines are first pointers, then they're the windows through which we can gaze upon God Himself! The doctrine of Jesus himself is a pointer and a window through which we see God! Upon seeing Him we are transformed into the image of what we see! Seeing Him, reveals Him! consider 11Cor. 3:18

When we see Him we shall be like Him! This works every time that we have the open and unhindered face toward Him when looking upon true doctrine! What we need is to become like Him from one faith to another Faith and from one glory to another Glory! Please find and read 11 Cor.3:18 The trappings of religion war against this process!

In the OT times the heathen cut the corners of their beards in many bizarre ways as a form of worship to their Gods. Keep that in mind. calledoutPTL
