Hi Paris; what did you say?

Re: damned

September 6 2008, 12:11 PM

It's not important,,

Actually I was wondering,,if someone is to teach another to believe that they are damned,,ie "lost their Salvation",,then after that loss, what does he/she (the damned) owe society?

Are we really willing to open that door? the one that says "you have nothing more to lose so do whatever you want."

It's just unfathomable the destruction that can occur when we damn another. Who is willing to be responsible for that?

I don't know I was just thinking about that yesterday.

a can of worms?

September 6 2008, 12:31 PM

The can of worms is only opened if we believe that about ourselves.

I have seen teenaged boys accept that idea and go out and raise all kinds of hellish activity. What anyone else thinks matter little unless they are successful in convincing us of our damnation.

But you're right: who fesses up to the destruction wrought here?

Often when one gets expelled they go on a path of personal destruction (beyond what most worldly people would ever consider) with the attitude of "I'm going to hell anyways, so what does it matter?" Many will overcome this and return to "the fold" with confessions of their wickedness. These examples then provide wonderful opportunities to blame the "world" for the wickedness and program everybody to remain submitted to "the fold."

I guess in that situation,,the damned are left with a few choices, they can either take it out on society in destructive ways, they can interlize it and it can destroy them from within, they could go on to find the truth of the Gospel, I don't know, but I do know that the last thing I should ever want to steal from someone is hope.

I guess I could get real philosophical here and say something like "that's why it's not our responsibility to judge someone in the Lord".

The price is high to do that,, that justice, that judgement, is Gods soverign rite.

Yeah YOYO,,I guess I forgot about the "opportunity" to return to that system.

I fear for the ones who know better within that system and don't speak up. I think I've said enough.

damned before glorified?

September 6 2008, 2:30 PM

Paris your heart is obviousely good. Guard your pure Faith!

"Though I make my bed in hell, He is there". David knew!

Indeed the castaways have a better opportunity to pursue God for who He really is than those who cast others away. Those who cast others away are already God or at least are making the application for the position.

The castaways have more pressure on them to reach high and deep for the living God! In this way it's a blessing to be cast away! It's an awesome emotion to experience when the realization hits a person that he or she is discarded. It's a desert of sorts but the God of Israel was found in the deserts! Paul went to the deserts of Arabia to be able to clearly see after he had his revelation of Christ on the famous road to Demascus. It is good to first receive Christ and the revelation of Him before going into those desert places!

There is something about an abstract lonely desert that seperates us on the inside which then creates a crack for the real Christ Jesus to shine through!

The Father must call us to Himself or our efforts toward Him are all presumptious, religious, and vain! He does call and that's the joy of it! On the other hand we can get cynical and mean spirited and that type thing goes nowhere fast.

Thanks doug, my faith is strong, I think my hope is precious to my happiness.

It makes me think of King David,,so much of his hope was poured out in the Psalms while he was alone in the caves.

Some people think that the alone times in life is where we learn the most I am begining to understand that more as time goes by.

The happy times are good and happy and the alone times are hopefully alone with God.

Paris,

I wonder why the Scotts of this forum ridicule me for this and arrogantly define relationship?

You see, they do what they claim the Holdemans do. Lucky I haven't been hurt. But the potential was just as potent, because I'm a man of human and like passions.

I'm sorry Brent if you have been tried here, it would seem that this place is all about expressing being tried and trials. We shouldn't damn anothers confession of a trial, but maybe
we should try to walk a mile in the others shoe.

Doug, how long you going to be around this time? Don't make it a Scott and Brent thing. Scott's don't like that. You need to be more sensitive to Scott.

Paris, I expect to be tried here. When we write, we set ourselves up. When you've been unjustly mocked, slandered and ridiculed, you read carefully and then write carefully, trust me.
