>>The true church is known by the way it teaches and follows all the teachings of the Bible. The church does not add or take away from these teachings.<<

Well, that pretty much rules out the Holdeman church.

Mr calledoutPTL says that all women must not post on this forum anymore. That might be teaching. No woman should ever quote a bible verse, could it could be called correcting a man. No more writing in the MOM, that could be teaching. And definitely no more teaching SS or Bible School. Or even teaching in the educational schools, after all the boys in their class grow to be men, and THEY just might someday remember what she taught. No man needs to ever listen to his wife anymore, she might have some wisdom. Actually there is no need for a woman to read the bible, pray or do anything. Come on balance here folks. See where this kind of doctrine can lead up to?

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some apostles: and some, prophets: and some, evangelists: and some pastors, and teachers. 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. PLEASE tell me where women are excluded in this verse.

Joel propheseyed that women would prophesey in Acts 2:17, I guess another mistake huh?

1Tim 2:11-12 Notice this verse is singular (womwn) and actually refers to what was going on in 1 Tim 1. She was dealt rather kindly by Paul who didn't name her out like he did in 1 Tim 20 for the men. He dealt with rather kindly and was she instructed to keep silent and not teach the falseness that was in chapter 1.

1 Cor 11 is talking about marriage and I don't hae a problem with it. I will say that no other man except my husband has any authority over me.

Aguilla and Priscilla were both ministers of the word and Paul highly valued their support. They ministering as one. Now that would be the epitome of what God wants a marriage to be in the Lord.

1 Cor 14:34-35 goes back to the fact that women were not allowed in the inner walls of the courtyard. They couldn't hear so they would shout out to their husbands, what did they say? Of course disorder and confusion was there and Paul tells in a couple verses before that God is not the God of confusion. Custom prevails here.

Did you know that Phoebe in Romans 16 was a servant of the church? Ministers are servants.

You need to do some more studying on the whole bible and quit isolating incidents.

This was written under the cover of Mr. CalledoutPTL and he okayed it. calledoutPTL
