Did Jesus mess UP?

October 8 2008, 7:50 AM

Wow, and to think that Jesus taught his disciples something wrong!!!!!

John who ran around with Jesus said in James 1:27 "But the anointing which ye have recieved of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointinting teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him."

Now I am not against teachers because they are a gift that God gave the church, but the total absolute this misguided friend wrote, needs to balance the whole bible out instead of cut and dried articles that don't give a balance to anything. calledoutPTL

God has given the church authority to interpret Scripture, choose
leaders, and discipline members. All this mutt be done with the guid-

through willing obedience and ready service. The church must he kept
pure by separating stubborn, disobedient members arel those who teach
false doctrine

Now, In my business, when a guy flat out lies to me, He also "loses" me. and that is the whole problem in Holdemanism for the foundation is a bald faced open lie with noting honest, so it is hard for me to get past that to the every day nuts and bolts
here is their first point

God has given the church authority to interpret Scripture,

ANd here is how they "prove" thier point, that I clam is a bald face open sepulcher lie.

Matthew 16 19* And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Romans 12:1* ¶ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2* And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
EPH 4
11* And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12* For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13* Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14* That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15* But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16* From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Hebrews 13:17* Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

There is simply no implication that the church has any authority to interpret over the authority of the individual to do so, at least in my understanding. Could someone please enlighten me?
