hi i fell in love with a man who loves me. but i realise now he is not the one for me. as a born again christian i have stopped being intimate with him. while i saw him i strayed once with an ex. now my current man want me to swear on the bible in gods name and in the name of jesus that i was always true to him. i dont want to hurt him. am i allowed to swear this untruth on the bible? could i pray for gods forgiveness first and then tell what he needs to hear? or must i tell him the absolute truth? i am scared about this and saying the real truth to him. i am not sure how he will react. what am i allowed to do?

You say your current man. What's your status, dating,engaged, living with him? I'm not trying to get personal, just trying to understand. What kind of guy is he that wants to make you swear on a bible. Did you give him a reason not to trust you? I don't know about this, but he sounds like trouble or dangerous to me, and I'd recomend getting away from him as fast as you can. It looks to me that you could be in for a lot of grief and heartache down the road if you continue your relationship with him. Maybe I'm reading this wrong and I apologize if I am.
