14* ¶ But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

Watching the going's on over there with the Palestinians, and the tide turn against the nation of Israel in the eyes of their neighbors, and thinking about the "Oboma"nation we just elected, I was wondering about this chapter.

Does anyone care to share your favorite meaning of what the abomination of desolation, actually references?

Isn't Babylon in a state of desolation? It was an abomination to God at one time. Could it be that there is another thing comming? I heard on a talk show that the United Nations wanted a bigger space. New York doesn't have the room or economy to build something bigger. Guess what is in the wind? Nothing official yet. But in Irag about 40 miles south. Another guess, what site it is? You guessed it Babylon. Only time will prove if this is right or not.
