(Je 17:9) The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
(Pr 20:6) Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?
(Ps 139:23-24) Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
(Pr 4:7) Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
(Pr 15:31) The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise. 32 He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. 33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.
(Pr 29:20) Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
(Jas 3:13-17) Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
(Ga 5:22-23) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
(Heb 9:27) And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
(Ga 6:7) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
(Jon 2:8) They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

(Mt 23:23-27) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. 25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. 26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. 27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead mens bones, and of all uncleanness.
(Mt 5:20) For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
(Ac 16:31) And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
(Mt 7:21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
(Jn 7:38) He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
(Lk 13:24) Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
(Je 29:11-13) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
(Ps 25:4-5) Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. 5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
(Ps 30:10) Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.
