KS tax alert

WE just heard on the news that KS people who had overpaid their Ks state tax, would not get their refund back. It is suspended for now. KS has an unhealthy financial status. Evidently California started this and now KS is the second state to do this. WE were suppose to get around $500.00 back, but not now. WOW! What state will be next? calledoutPTL

Watch the dominos start to fall now! We are racing to get the books done and taken to our tax man before our state hits on this 'no refunds right now' idea. We are seeing layoffs and cutbacks all over the place and now milk and cattle prices are collapsing. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks the 'Stimulus' plan is going to fix our economic collapse.

I'm in Wisconsin, our paper mills and boat factories have taken big hits, now the small factories that supply the auto industry are next in line to layoff. I have to laugh at the big dairy farms in my area that went nuts when milk price was high and made big expansions and rented land out from underneath the small farmers, now milk has collapsed and so has cow prices. Serves the greedy buggars right!

Calm Brent!

Pr 24:17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

Stand back and consider, and allow the Lord to work, but do not be happy,

18 Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

Walmart was in the financial news today and I found this joke in one of the articles.

"An elderly woman decided to prepare her will and told her preacher she had two final requests. First, she wanted to be cremated, and second, she wanted her ashes scattered over Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart? the preacher exclaimed. Why Wal-Mart? Then Ill be sure my daughters visit me twice a week

Sorry Fred, I know I shouldn't gloat but after years of the big farmers, Ag experts and ag publications calling our style of farming outdated, old-fashioned and backwards, I just can't help myself. Ag experts and university farmers are generally dorks who are blind as bats and wouldn't know how to survive with a hoe and a sack of seed! As long as I'm cranking I'll throw most government officials (elected and appointed) and ministers and denominations into that mix! For me it's Christian Anarchism all the way!

This web page is interesting on the subject.

One comment in the comment column which I thought made sense reads,

"Does anyone else see a larger problem here? I read yesterday that over $500 million was shifted to the main bank a few months ago. Now they need to shift more money? Here's the deal. This economic crisis is getting way out of hand. When the state can't pay thier bills, they pull from other areas. What areas? Medicare? Medicaid? Unemployment? Social Services? What happens when there's no more money to pull? It's not just Kansas it's everywhere. Trillions have been lost and now it's starting to affect the little people. This situation is unfortunate, but it's another reminder that as individuals we are responsible for our own finances. We should be saving, earning, creating, and learning. ALL governments are subject to failure. Don't rely on the government for employment any more than a person should rely on a coorporation for employment. As for those that spent that money in advance...they are no better planners than the government they are ragging on. "

Well, in KS the governer signed the budget so the tax refund freeze was lifted. Understand that the budget was a balanced budget that was cutting expenses including some educational cuts. (Mayber more emphazes should be on the 3-R's. Very few make it in the professional field of sports. And I'm not against sports, but that that should secondary to education.) But it doesn't make the economy any better. calledoutPTL
