Whats Blooming?

These are some pictues of the flowers that are blooming in our area during this beautiful Spring time..

Just wanted to share a little bit of my world with you all. You probably have all these flowers in your area anyway, except maybe the people out west.

I hope there are no spellos in my post, cuz I don't feel like fixing it..:D

Forsythia, a yellow flowering bush in our area. Some people keep the bush natural and it's real wispy and reaches the ground in long sweeping stems. I tend to cut ours back into a more round bush. In any case they are very full and yellow..

Sweet Magnolia. It has a wonderful smell and just a few blooms will fill the room with it's scent..This is a flowering tree. They are not quite in full bloom but when I go outside I can smell them in the air everywhere I go..When the tree gets in full bloom I will try to photograph it. Sometimes if we get a wind storm or too much rain it ruins it's best day.

Hyacinths

Primrose, this one blooms in the winter too. Often I can move the snow off of it and I can find a bloom.

Tulips, I didn't grow these, I bought them at the grocery.

The Crocus.

ahhh - now this is my kind of subject! Thanks for sharing the beauty! That forsythe pic with your modern painting in the background is very artistic!

I have to say that i am jealous and not feeling very Christian about you getting to have mags though. Oh my. One of my absolute FAV trees. But not in zone 5 - and I can't put one in the greenhouse!! happy.gif Nurseries occasionally try to convince me that a star mag is a good substitute. Uh - no. That's like offering a hot wheels car to a 16 year old new driver!! lol

Thank you for sharing the pictures, Paris. Spring is my favorite season! I LOVE to see everything come alive again. I don't have anything blooming yet..it's been slow with a lot of cool weather hanging around. I do have over 200 vegetable plants and flowers started inside and I have been having a lot of fun watching them grow in our south bay window.

Lark, this year is a year that we did not have a snow kill off the Spring ground flowers. I'm sorry that happened to your flowers.

This is a flowering miniature pear tree we have in our yard. It also keeps the birds well fed in the winter. The pears are more like berries and the berries stay on the tree until March. I think the birds eat them, but I'm not sure.

Well, the flowers are gone and the apples are on. This is how the flowering crab apple tree looks this year. The deer are having a feast with them.

Below is a plant that took me 2 years to figure out what it was. We had cut down some pine trees that were crowding all the other trees around it, plus it was dying, but this plant then began to flourish. It was growing in the pine tree. I finally identified it. It's a Poke-weed plant and this the plant that is spoken of in the song Poke Sallet Annie, if you know that song. It was also used for dyeing wool in the old days.

Here is plant that I abandoned behind the shed, it just wasn't making the grad, but it flourished and shamed me for abandoning it.

Below... Even a lost sunflower seed made it's debut right next to the brush pile.

I thought those last pictures had some spiritual applications too.

I just love finding forgotten things, it seems God has a plan anyway. We may forget but He doesn't.
