We went to a family reunion recently. Good day, just for visiting, no service or preaching. The goal was for cousins to get to know each other better, what, where and all. Everything was going good. Then a cousin's wife felt "led" by the spirit to talk to me. I had erroneously thought she was more open to things. She started out on a good topic I could agree with. She had just read a book about Ruth Graham and the legacy she had inherited from her folks and with her husband Billy Graham, had left one to their children. (They sure did.) Then she went on to talk about her legacy she had recieved from her parents. She was so grateful for this. Her father had labored with her mother with John Holdeman and how important their faith was. In the course of the conversation I told her how we had left the h church. Immediately she brought up the foreign spirit. Then she wanted to know if it was clothes. I said no. Those things just didn't matter. But of course I was told it was pride. No, I said, what man calls pride isn't always what God calls pride. She said they had been tried by fire and tested even though the panel was wrong at times, they stayed true to faith. Maybe they stated true to God, but I told heris wrong to follow men instead of God. I told her I never heard the h talk about a relationship with God like I had, and I would just dry up if I went back to the h church. She said some did have one,and you know when they die they have this special experience. I said that was because they didn't have it any earlier. Oh well. Never to old to make a mistake by thinking they might just this one time believe a person. calledoutPTL
