This was just the other day. It was raining in the front yard, sunny in the back yard and a rainbow in the field. The rainbow is faint it goes across the sky above the trees.
WOW, you guys put up some absolutly gorgeous photos, like Calledout, I really enjoy this.
Makes me want to get a camera, can you believe I don't own one? No, it has nothing to do
with church rules!
This is the view from inside our cabin looking out. There was a little deck with chairs and a table.
This is just the side of the Ship looking at the lifeboats. I had a lot of pictures of this vacation on my computer, but I lost them a few days ago. The water was an amazing color all the time. When you got close to shore it turned a beautiful Aqua. I think this was the day we left the ship to go ashore to Jamica and the picture was taken as we left the ship.
^Yeah, I like that picture too. What was cool about being on the Ocean was how big God looked. His creation is amazing. I loved looking out and not seeing anything except water, sky, moon or sun.
Here are some pictures from last summer. Spencer and his dad went on a hiking trip in Aspen. I think these are at Independent Pass. Spencer wanted to see a ghost town and Spencer had never seen mountains before last summer either.
One of the reasons that Spencer and his dad went to Aspen is because that is where Spencer's father went when he was about 20 years old. Spencer was always fascinated with that side of his dad. His dad hitch-hiked from Michigan to Aspen. He got a job at the Hotel Jerome in Aspen. He lived as a ski bum, I guess you could say. He worked as a night auditor for the hotel and he also had a breakfast restaurant in the hotel.
Here is a song that Spencer wrote for his dad about his dad doing that when he was younger. I'll include the lyrics too, in case you don't want to listen to the song.
You are a living wonder with your camera...
and an inspiration...
Some time I am going to learn to use a digital camera. All I need is a few lessons...
I loooooooooooooooooove photography too and would carry a camera with me to not miss anything interesting, funny, mystical and to capture the foibles of human nature.
Thank you again for sharing your inspiring photos and talent! BTW do you live in Co?
Thanks Oxy, you don't really need lessons with the new cameras now days. They have features on them that are automatic, if you set the camera on automatic it will flash if it needs to on it's own and not flash if it doesn't need to. They also have what's called "steady shot" but I must be the nervous type because that feature doesn't always work for me.
I recommend the camera with the screen on the back so you can see what you are taking a picture of without putting your eye up to it. Your camera will come with a CD that you put in your computer that will download the program to accept your pictures onto your computer. Some computers already have a program that will upload pictures onto the computer from any digital camera, but I always install the program from the CD that came with the camera because it will probably work the best as far as editing your photos.
There are a few settings that I tend to have trouble with, sometimes my camera is set to have the focus on close up when what I want to capture is in the distance and vice verse. When I have that setting messed up then sometimes what I was trying to capture on film is blurry. So I'm not always very good with the camera. I miss a lot of shots because of that one setting. Still when you can view them on your computer before you get them developed you can save a lot of money. Anyway here is a picture of my camera.
And I really enjoy the animated pictures you post, thank you keep doing that...No I don't live in CO.
^ that screen is what you use to see what you are taking a picture of, very handy.
