what is truth?

What is truth?
This question Pilate asked, Jesus what is truth?
Pilot was under pressure to condemn Jesus, so truth to Pilot was more expedient for him to condemn Jesus.Because this is what the people wanted.Pilot knew that Jesus, was not guilty of the the crime the Chief-Priest,and theParisees accused him of .Pilate became afraid of what it was becoming.he tried to get Jesus freed, but the pressure of the mob won and Pilate gave way to have Jesus condemned.
Here is a typical picture of how truth can be used for the benefit or the power that people in high places maligned the truth.
I was raised in an environment that claimed that they were the only true church Baptism included membership and was the only one valid. Marriage only to a member of the church.communtion only with the church membership.excommication resulted if obedience was not complied, and sunned for the rest of your life if not repented from, and admit that you were rightly excommicated. This is another example of truth used for control, of the membership. In the name of purity
So is truth relative, or subjective, does it make it right?
I just finished reading an article about Iranian president Ahmadinejad, he is preaching that his messiah is called Twewlfth Iman and he is communicating with this mystical shis the same as the Christians do with Christ. He is also preaching justice, brotherly love around the world. He also says that he speaks the same way as the Christians speak to
Christ. He also states that this Iman will bring Christ with him when he come to earth
I see this an introduction to the anti-Christ

The Bible has truth all the way through the old &New Testament. Jesus was a testimony of this as you study his ministry so many times he illustrate what truth was. But people rejected the truth.People are looking for a free-ride, just like the incident, when Jesus fed the 5000, the crowed was so excited, but when Jesus said that the road would be a struggle .When they saw that it was more then a freeride they left him and follow him no more. Are we one of these believer?A follower of Jesus will encounter tials and be tried by fire, but the results will be growth and the raising of the bar to a more matureity.

Don, I don't think that truth is "subjective". Truth has a quality that is fearless and sovereign, it stands on it's own merits and can be attacked without fear of failing.

A close look at "truth" only makes it look better! even though at times it is a bit rough since it fails to smooth the edges.

In the financial world there is a saying that states that you don't know who is swimming naked until the tide goes out. Meaning that when the credit is aplenty, and people are borrowing from the future to make ends meet, they look like more "conservative" minded "investors", they can drive nicer cars and live in nicer houses with more stuff, but when the times get tight like they are right now, well their nakedness shows, because they have to earn the money before they can spend it, instead of borrowing from the future.

So truth exposes nakedness, but it takes time to do so.

Now in the matter of the expulsion of the descried situation you mentioned on the first post, the "system" certainly does excommunicate one for disobedience, and it is truth that it does so! But their right to do so is simply never looked at.

By "their", I mean the "people" in charge of the system. Like they wizard of Oz, they sit behind a curtained veil of man made material (conference authority in this case), that fits in the background, and they pull levers to make their own silly likeness look like a God, and they tell their victims through their fierce caricature of the likeness of the gods they mange to build that one must submit to them or "else", and upon refusal the victim is punished without mercy for the remainder of their natural lives or until the victim submits. Without the justice of an eternal judgment this is a "truth" that is not reconcilable but in the light of eternity, with a just judgment where the motives of men will reconcile their actions by exposure of the real motive, well then the naked swimmers will be revealed for what they are, instruments of satanic power!
