I sang this often as a teen...ran across it today...and it brought back
memories of my past...and current love

of songs...with emotionally
moving meanings...to the fore.

And also Mom's favorite song.

I listened to your nice songs, Oxy.

Oxy, I am not drawn to my past that much, at least the religious part of it. Honestly, if I woke tomorrow and decided to believe in god and go to church and all that stuff, I don't have any sins that I would need to confess. I don't sin now, so what would I change? If you met me in real life and didn't know that I was an atheist, I swear you would think I was the nicest Christian person you had ever encountered. I don't think people need god in order to be good.

I believe every word you wrote...

I have been told many times that I am a christian in response to my statement "That I do not

profess to be a Christian"...because I don't.

I, like you said, "try to live by "The Golden Rule"

I absolutely love harmony...and music of different genres

Singing when in my teens was an "out" for me and yes, I am a sentimental person...

Thanks, Oxy. It's good to know there are people out there who realize and accept that unbelievers are not bad humans.

I applaud that you don't profess Christianity yet still probably lead as honest and probably more of an honest life than that of a lot of professing Christians.

I am very fortunate my Holdeman family members also treat me as a good person! In fact, sometimes I am even asked for advice! happy.gif

That fact continues to amaze me considering I was the black sheep for so many years!

'Tis a wonderful feeling to be so close. Of course I will go to hell in their opinion if I do not become a Holdeman Mennonite.

I see that as their right to believe as they chose...just as I have chosen my rights.

Their belief does not change in any way the acceptance and love we have for each other and the love they show me...
Again, I am very fortunate! happy.gif

Live and Let Live

is my motto.
