Hey guys

Paris  (Login .pariskat)

Sorry I abandoned a couple threads in here. I wanted to comment on the Critical thinking stuff, but my Grandma died and it has thrown me a little off kilter.

She was 89 years old and she was very frail so it wasn't a complete shock. Since April of this year we have lost the three oldest women on my moms side. Grandma, my mom and my aunt.

My condolences for your three losses of loved ones in such a short time.

Especially of your mom...if she was the one you were closest to.

I feel that pain.

Glad to have you back!

Sincerely
Oxy

Thanks Oxy, I like the butterflies. I wasn't that close to my mom but I loved her and I know she loved me. My mom and her closest sister died on the same day, unrelated deaths. My aunt had bladder cancer and my mom had some sort of lung condition, they said she would live 2 to 5 years but she died in 6 months. Somehow it has been comforting knowing that my mom and my aunt her favorite sister died together. My sister says she imagines them taking each others hand.

Anyway, thanks Oxy.

Thanks Fred, it will be fine. It's hard but death is not unexpected. Sometimes I think that when people in our life die is when we who are left climb to a higher understanding about not wasting the life we have been given.

Thanks Oxy for your concern about people responding, but this is the CoG...Even I'm guilty of wanting to this [linked image]

Rather than this-->[linked image] It's no excuse though these are the type things we sometimes learn when people die.

Since I had been visiting and seeing so much of my Step father and uncles, I was reminded of how much music was so much a part of our lives. My step father played the guitar and sang a lot. Charley Pride was one of his favorites.

You are welcome for my concern...

I was simply surprised that professing christians not would be closer on this site...and was trying to make a joke.(But they could not have known of yur loss by your title...)

I should not have come across as tho' I was hammering them...and you...as I mistakenly misunderstood your statement in an earlier post! sad.gif I apologise)

Sometimes words can be intrepreted so differently...and wrongly...sigh

I am on this site to learn...and I am...about myself....too! sad.gif + happy.gif
