You'll need a preamplifier unless your "amp" is an "integrated amp" which has a preamp built-in. Does your amp have "AUX" input jacks on the back? Does it have a volume control on the front? If it is the Technics model it should already have provisions for this.

Simply connect a double RCA phono cable from the output of your CD player to the "input" "AUX" or "CD" jacks on your Technics integrated amp (if it is equipped with a "CD" input). Your local Radio Shack, Walmart, Best Buy, etc. should have the cable you need.
