Of course the biggest and most obvious thing on these old speakers is the woofer surround that can actually be repaired with a little patience or you could have it professionally done, the major difference in cost is if you can't get it done locally is the price of shipping both ways.
While you have the woofers out, a common practice is to replace all the caps with polypropylene or just replacing them is a good idea with higher voltage ratings than the ones being replaced. If the other drivers seems fine, they probably are. Not sure if your model has pots, if it does they will definitely need to be cleaned. These are a few ideas but if you really want to know about speaker restoration check out.

I spend a lot of time in the AR forum, but in your case just find a thread in any of the forums and latch on and find out as much as you can about the general techniques involved in restoring speakers.
I have to think it will be worth the effort, not to mention a whole lot of fun and very satisfying when complet.
Thanks
