Alright well my mom was bron in japan and lived their through the early part of her years... we live in canada now but my mother has experienced through creepy things on several occasions. When she lived there, a door would slide open as she's sleeping, she would wake up immediatley (my mom will wake up to the slightest sound)and would feel tremendous amount of preesure on her neck, as if someone was trying to choke her... now this has happened maybe more than a couple of times (according to her)and the same thing happened to her here, where we currently live, but just once. Another story was she heard a noise(which seemed like a conversation between 2 people) in the family room, so she decided to get out of her bed and check out, only to see that nobody was there and thats basically it... 15 years later and nothing happening. Although from time to time, i'd hear my front door banging, but its no biggie since im not superstitious
