Lost Gold?...

In my hometown, there's a big lake that runs through it. On the other side, from the main highway, up where the trees begin to grow thick, and the groundfloor gives way to steep cliffs, There sits a part of once was an old milatary fort, and Spanish mission. There's not much left of the mission, just the belltower, and part of the fort. But there is a story that goes; Once a team of stagecoach drivers were sent to delivery some gold coins to an bank some 100 miles away or so, As they drove their team along the winding, trails down along the cliffs, They were attacked by an Indian warparty. Too late to turn their back, they evaded capture momentarily, and decided to dtch the box of gold coins, they hid it somewhere within the thick, growth of trees, and rocks. They fought a desperate fight for their lives, but were all killed, save one...Badly wounded, and weak from the loss of blood, one member managed to hide himself until the Indians left the area. He walked back to the Fort, but before he could give information as to where the box was hid, he succomened to his wounds, and died. No one has ever been ever to regain the gold coins that had been hid during that Indian raid so long ago. But it would be pretty damned nice to come across it I think...
