The heart attack.

It was a very strange thing. I had been asleep when something woke me.I don't know if it was a noise or if it had just been a feeling. I looked at the time on my clock radio. The digital print out read 2:57a.m. Well I figured since I was fully awake I would get up and go to the bathroom. I slept in the attic so the bathroom was on the next floor down. I shuffled to the top of the steps. As I neared the top of them I could hear voices. Thinking it was my parents up and finding that rather odd I quietly approached. What I saw at the bottom of the steps was a rather odd sight. There sat in the kitchen chair but our families friend. She was chatting away to someone out of my line of sight. It didn't strike me that she was the only voice I heard. Smiling I called down to her"Peggy". She turned to me and smiled then "poof" she disappeared!Well suddenly I didn't want to venture down those steps so I hurried back to bed and made sure my door was locked tightly. A few minutes ticked by and I heard the phone ring. My mother got up to answer it and I could hear her muffled voice. It seemed like she talked forever. Eventually I nodded off. The next morning I caustiously went down those steps. My mother was up and dressed. She said to me if I heard the phone ring last night. Oh yes!! She continued to tell me about it. Well it seems that Peggy's husband had called to tell us that she was in the hospital she had had a heart attack. She was going to be alright. I asked my mother what time she had the heart attack and my mother said 2:57a.m. I then told her about my occurance.
