Great link Magilla,I never thought of the shrink wrap.For years I've used the pipe insulaters as rail savers and they do work really well.Instead of the shrink wrap,I glue the ends of several lenghths together with contact cement,fit to an individual board,glue ends together(Off board!!!!...lol:) and then while it's on the board wrap around circumference with duct tape.Double foam inside nose and tail,with a little more duct tape inside to hold 2nd layer in place, and to protect the foam inside.
The things are stretchy enough to pull on and off,in seconds if you fit them nice.Good for when storing boards at home too! Aloha eh!~
