Yes they were good - not as good as the Canoe Club ones of course. I was never a member of either club but used to hang out with Woolvie, Stu, Glyn and Roadburn. Anthony was presumably more of a rower.
Saw Tony and Bev, Chris and Caroline Geal, Paul Reymond, Glyn and Nev last night at the Vine. Hil and I are staying in W'thing for a few days so we popped down.
Lake District is looking a bit thin this year - no Matt, Janet or Steve. Glyn looks like he is pulling out which may mean Woolvie has to pull out unless he can get a lift some other way (don't think he'd drive himself all the way. Dave Silverwood is a maybe. Stuart is threatening to come but was hoping to blag a lift with Glyn too (not sure why he can't drive).
Weather is cold and rainy here.
