2007 8th Worthing oldbros Lake District Expedition was based at Sykeside campside near Brothers water just north of the Kirkstone Pass in the Eastern Lake District. We have never camped there as a group before but have climbed in the area although not for many years. Some of us have used the campsite independently but again, not for some time.
The site has decent facilities, a shop even, and is 2 minutes walk from the Brotherswater Inn (not that that is relevant in the slightest.
Turnout was good, in no particular order we had...

We all went up High Street on Easter Saturday on a variety of routes. On Sunday we mostly did Fairfield or just Hart Crag. A crack group went off to Pooley Bridge and walked the Northern section of High Street back to Brotherswater.
Here are some pics...
My kids bouldering on the way up to High Street
Group of oldbros near Thornthwaite Beacon south of High Street summit
Rose between two thorns (tweedle dee and tweedle dum grew up)
Speech bubble cloud (Nev never taught us this one for our Meterology badge)
Uncle and nieces
The weather was good, very sunny on Saturday but Sunday and Monday brought a coldish West Wind, especially high up. There was quite a hard frost on Saturday night and It was particularly testy round the icicles.
My primus stoves played up (both ex 8th Primus 111) but I managed to create one good one from 2 duff units. I have some spares on order to set things right soon.
The pub was excellent beer and food well received.
Chris (Uncle Chris) kept himself to himself most of the time but we tried to bring himself out of himself and encourage him to mix a bit more - particularly with members of the opposite sex.
