Four Silverwood bros in Lakes again for Ali's 50th party...

by Woolven

great 2 day party with excellent food (some from local catering firm)and our cousin provided a 72 pint keg of good old 'yates' bitter. So I decided to drink straight beer rather than my usual 'shandies'. We had good weather so we had 2 BBQ's and I also had a few 'stiff' Gin and Tonics! On the Sunday there were about 70-80 friends and family there.

Alison's main suprise present was a brilliant large 'Bell Tent' which was used as a play tent for the children. We had to pitch it one afternoon which was quite tricky!

Dave's 'ace' for a short walk for the young families was cafe/pub lunch and then a 'nice' walk in Whinnlatter Forest Park. The park has a lovely play area including an arial runway! After the kids had had enough we did anti-clockwise walk around the hill 496ft We did enjoy a good view of Mt Skiddaw.

Then Alison's daughter had her 5th kiddies Birthday party on the Tuesday.
Half the village's kids plus school friends running aroud the garden and house!! The Bell Tent went down very well. The men decided to drain the Yates Keg!

PS Dave has bought a new DELL computer and will be on line as soon as he move into their new house. So I have told him to post more often.

PPS Richard's Head Teacher gave him Monday Off and he flew Easy Jet to Manchester and then train to Carlisle with his rail card.
