ps Dave, family and I had a good look at all the wood on Worthing Beach last w/end. We think it will take ages to clear and we think a lot of the wood could still be around in the summer! All the beach huts are in the way.
Plus the cranes can only work at low tide. Also the cars on sea front will be in the way and lorries will block half the sea front road causing traffic jams.
ps lets hope we never have a big oil spill from these huge very large crude carriers (VLCC) that regulary sail up and down the English Channel.
They can be 100,000 tonne, 200,000 tonne, 300,000 tonne and up to 500,000 tonne deadweight.
