Glyn's stag day/night Saturday 4th October...

by Woolven

First of all we had booked a 16 seater minibus with Nick driving all day. To start with 10 of us went on a fishing trip from Itchenor, Chichester Harbour. We went out to sea first and started sea fishing and then went fishing in the harbour off Hayling Island as the sea swell got rougher. Fish caught were:

Ray (from sting ray family) Woolven
Mackerel (the fish slipped back into sea as it was taken of hook) Dave
Lobster Glyn
Bream
Crab x 4

So we were happy with our catch and motored back to Itchenor and then went to the village 'local' for one drink. We then went to the Geale's house in Chichester for lunch and more drinks. Caroline had made a delicious sausage casserole followed by rubharb crumble and cream. Stu was hungry after all that sea air and ate seven sausages! (he claims this was because he wouldn't have any supper later and would set himself up for some serious drinking later!)

Anyway we then went to the Fontwell Races near Arundel for the last 4 races and had a few more beers and placed a few bets. Nobody really won much.

Then we went the good old George and Dragon, Tarring and met up with more mates. So we boozed
to 0030hrs and played 3 games of 'spoof'. Some of us were dropped off in minibus and cars.

Those present who I can remember were:

Tim
