To clarify

The first Lakes expedition took place in August 1969 with Charlie Brown, Chris Lisher and Paul Davis accompanying me.
Backpacking. Day 1: from Keswick via Braithwaite and Coledale Hause to Loweswater. Day 2: via Scale Force over the Red Pike-High Stile-High Crag ridge to Black Sail Hut. Day 3: over Black Sail Pass to Wasdale Head. Day 4: left tents standing at Wasdale Head and did a circular route over Scafell and then via Foxes Tarn and Mickledore to Scafell Pike and descended via the Corridor Route. Day 5: over Sty Head Pass and down Borrowdale to Keswick to pick up my car. We then drove to Thirlspot camping next to the "King's Head".
Day 6: Charlie, Chris and Paul went up Helvellyn and down Striding Edge while I drove round to pick them up at the "Traveller's Rest" in Glenridding, before we drove back to Worthing.

2010 will be the 40th anniversary of the 8th's first Easter trip to the Lake District. A full account of where we went and who was actually there appears in this Website's Archive Documents. Click on the fourth badge down to read this and other papers that Tim has kindly made available for us.
