Where are they now, what happened on what day, how could we make oldbro.org better. Ideas, innovations, gear auctions, money making schemes.
Starting new career job at last...
by Woolven
Now working in Waste Management again as a Weighbridge Operator for Veolia Environmental Services (UK) Plc in Hollingdean, Brighton. The Waste Transfer Station is brand new with two new weighbridges to weigh all waste vehicles in and out. Veolia have been awarded the huge contract with Brighton & Hove City Council. So I will only be weighing Council waste vehicles.
Anyway I will work hard, learn the new procedures and try to make this a long term career job.
ps now I am working again I will try not to post too often and hope we can have more bros posting more frequently like the old days.
pps excess baggage and kayaking ligament injury update: The surgeon has given me two injections into my shoulder and does not want to operate yet! (come back in 3 months)
GOOD YACHTING SNAP TREV and liked the war posting!

Well here's a run down from last month. Its tiny compared to the hey days of Fiona Licker but interesting nonetheless.
43 hits from UK
23 Portugal
That much is not so surprising Trev and perhaps Richard S check it out regularly.
44 US - Perhaps Pete is still tuning in a few times but who are all the rest?
Now really bizarre
11 from Korea
4 from Sweeden - perhaps they've searched for some primus related stuff
1 from Taiwan
I guess many of us take a look for something interesting and then just log off (even Woolvie is pretty bored with it). How about leaving a message now and again.

well, this site is one of my "tabbed" home pages in IE7, so i probabably have a quick look most days. 'though like most have become bored by a certain member and lack of others.
I do try and spice things up every now and then with the odd post.
As for those foreign hits, they are probably people browsing the forums, something i was once sad enough to do ... just type in route address ... forum/xxyzx you'll be surprised what you find... actually you won't.. boring tosh.
I presume it was yuo that deleted the post about the "war" .. anyway i'll try and post something more interesting in the next days I have an almost naked RCS, that should scare a few people away.

On sunday Paul, Polly and I sailed his Hawk 20 dayboat to East Head. There was a good SW Force 2/4 in the harbour so we tacked to the sandy beach and anchored. Then we had our packed lunches and sunbathed in the good weather. Later we walked to West Wittering and saw the harbour entrance. It was a very impressive view and there were alot of tourist and day trippers on the beaches and grass. We then walked back to East Head and went aboard the dayboat again. It was still hot and sunny so I suggested a swim. Paul and I went in and I swam under the boat! We noticed a quite alot of small barnacles on hull already so we did some scrappping from the water. This is definately an example of 'global warming'. Then we set sail and 'run' back to the mooring at Bosham with the wind behind us. There were quite alot of boats on the water plus dinghy racing from the various yacht clubs. So it was a very enjoyable day out.
ps ANY OTHER BROS COMMUNICATING LIKE THE OLD DAYS!!

Last bank holiday Paul, Stuart, Rachel and I met on the beach. Paul had brought his rubber tender with small outbourd and I brought my two canoes. Brilliant weather and I met Rachel for the first time. She is a lovely Irish lady.
Anyway Stu and I paddled and Paul anchored his tender with Rachel. Stu moored my 'Ace' jumper and climbed aboard He soon dived into the warm sea and took his trunks off!! We could have done the dirty on him but eventually Rachel threw them back in the water and Stu put them on again!
I did one eskimo roll in the 'Ace' slalom and did some 'wake riding' from Paul's tender.
We then went to 'the Bull' at Goring and had a couple of pints.
PS Ligament still a bit painfull and could be having operation soon.
PPS Jordan and Cook have seised trading in Worthing! (Worthing Herald)

A neighbour has recently bought this small coach on a 'P' Plate with a diesel engine and orginal seats. They plan to convert the bus into a large campervan. They bought the bus for £1450 from Lancing car auctions!
Now neighbours are complaining about the noise and being too large for carpark. The Managing Agents of my flat have written to me already.
My neighbour claims he can just state it a mobile home.
Perhaps a 'nice' earner for Jim!
