Zoey was a young pup and strong enough to fight the infection without. There are times, based upon the severity of the situation, that call for antibiotics. Zoey's urine sample did not show that strong of a infection so he waived on the antibiotics. Alot of the chinese herbs he used I even use now for various aliments but there are times when I know I need a doctor and that chinese herbs are not going to cut it.
However, take Friday for example, she had a bone infection and he gave her antibiotics, no chinese herbs. When we first got Zoey, she had giardia and he gave her antibiotics mixed with chinese herbs (in like a syrup). When Floyd had problems with his heart, he gave him Lasix, no chinese herbs.
Like I said, depends upon the severity of the problem.
